Does anyone know if the Cavs had timeouts at the end of the game? I assumed they did, but I don’t know (and can’t really find out from the box score). Because either they had no time outs or Byron Scott just trusts Anthony Parker so much that he allows AP to improvise in end of game situations.
While I understand idea of letting them try to score against a scrambling Dallas defense in transition I kinda feel that after 24 (now 25) straight losses, you might just want to set up the play you want. We’ve seen these guys make bone head mistakes time and time again (say, like Jamario Moon (and Antawn Jamison) passing the ball as the time ran out), why not get everyone on the same page? (Of course, this is all moot if the Cavs were out of time outs).
But only losing by three in Dallas? Joking aside, that’s a step in the right direction. If they play Detroit with that same kind of effort (especially defensively), they’ll be in good shape to pull out a win.
